Do I need a special cable to use Char.gy?

Unlike rapid chargers, Char.gy units do not have a cable already attached. To use our service, you will need to use your own cable.

Your car should have been supplied with a Type 2 (Mennekes), fast charge cable. If you do not have one of these cables, we advise contacting your local dealership to purchase one.

The cable will look similar to this :

If you have a cable that looks like this, but has a 3-PIN UK plug at one end, you will not be able to use this cable with our chargers, it must have a Type 2 connector at both ends.

If you still require support then please contact us by emailing support@char.gy or call us on 0800 086 9606.
